On July 28th, one day after our twins turned 9 my father-in-law passed away. We have twin 9 year old girls, a 5 year old and a now 7 month old boy. Our boy had just turned 6 months when his grandpa passed away. My father-in-law was a healthy man who took care of himself and walked daily. He would have our girls come over fir sleepovers and lunches and any excuse he could come up with. He loved his grand babies so much. He would hold them as babies and say they would heal his soul. We don't have much family around it's always been my husband our kids, his dad and I. We were the only family we needed. Now we are missing a huge piece of our family. The girls talk about him daily and say he is with us in our travels. It breaks my heart that our youngest won't be able to know his grandpa. One of the greatest men he could ever know. After his passing I ordered these necklaces so each of the kids and I could have him with us everyday. We miss him terribly. He was a great, smart, loving, caring, funny man that had stories to share all day if he could. We have books that we are writing in of the stories he would tell and the fun we had with him to share with out youngest. I will never let them grow up not knowing of their wonderful grandpa. Best father-in-law a girl could ask for. when we received the necklaces we couldn't of been more excited. They are beautiful and heavy. They will definitely be worn daily. I ordered mine with a saying he would tell me if I needed to make a decision. The three of our girls got matching lockets with the trees on the front. And the dog tag is for our son. They are beautiful.
