Aspen was my hedgehog that passed on 8/25/22. He had aggressive tumors that would have eventually ended his life and I couldn’t watch him suffer anymore. He was born on 7/25/16; my husband and I adopted him on 9/10/16. We got Aspen because my husband was on overnight shifts and didn’t want me to be alone. I spent a lot of time with Aspen and he was the most social, outgoing and adventurous hedgehog. Living to be over 6 years old as a hedgehog is pretty remarkable. I’m glad he lived through his 6th birthday and the birth of my daughter. I miss him so much and I’m glad they I am able to carry him with me.
